VP - Training and Development
Mark brings over 35 years of Automotive experience to his new position as Vice President of Training and Development at Apollo Dealer Services. He entered the industry in 1976 reconditioning vehicles and since then has worked his way up to Sales Consultant, F&I Manager, Sales Manager, Finance Director, GSM and GM. Mark also worked with the Wolfington Group (Direct Mail/Events) as a National Team Leader for over 10 years, directing successful sales events from Maine to Hawaii. During that Mark was able to work within some of the largest and most successful dealerships and dealer groups around the country and not only learn from their “best practices” but also help them improve upon them.
Mark has always been a huge proponent of training and development and never resting on one’s previous accomplishments. He has attended and completed the NADA Dealer Academy’s Variable Ops/Advertising training as well as sales and advanced F&I training from some of the best in the industry over the last 4 decades including Road to a Sale, Half a Car, Dale Carnegie, Ryan and Associates, Ford Motor Credit, Zurich, JM&A, Chari Fogel and AFIP. Since 2012 Mark has worked primarily as a General Agent/Consultant and Trainer/Coach using everything he learned to help dealers East of the Mississippi. One of his first projects with Apollo will be creating a formal training program for all members of the sales and finance departments of automobile dealerships.
